..or does having every single domain sold dilute the usefulness of this section of the forum?

I for one, like to look at the prices that the premium domains have sold for (< £1,000), what I don't find very useful is looking and seeing that a domain name such as: edinburghrooms.co.uk has sold for £30.

I have spent a lot less time in this part of the forum since all these low value domainlore sales have been listed.

Maybe it is just me!

Thanks

Al

Don't you know Domainlore only accept high quality generic UK names hence the endless list of £30 sales, where do the buyers find the money for them expensive domains and the bidding wars are ferociuos :?

Agreed this section has now become useless - can we maybe only show DL sales over £500?

I can turn off DL sales, just thought people would want to see every sale. How do you filter an RSS feed by value?

More comments please, you decide

Two Lukes on one thread!

I think the DL sales are fine posted here. There aren't many that are just £30.

If you mouse over each thread title link you can see very quickly what the sale price is. Very fast.

You also get the benefit of seeing the sold price contrast between the end user sales of Sedo and the reseller values of DL.

Useful addition, imho, and keep it there.

Cheers (Lucky) Luke

Great feature but agree with others - £500+ sales only would be good.

I like seeing all the sales. It emphasizes how cheap DL is compared to the "real world" of domain sales.

I like seeing all the sales also - can't see how this section has become "useless" just because some names posted are below £500 ?

discountinsurance.co.uk - £470
companyrecords.co.uk - £205
eav.co.uk - £305
weddingchauffeurs.co.uk - £231
wua.co.uk - £405

So was it "useless" to post the names above, as they were all under £500 ?

The bigger the picture you have - the more overall market knowledge you gain

My vote is to keep this feature (with no minimum pricing).

I usually mouse-over the DL feeds to find out the price rather then clicking on the actual post.

In my opinion the current category of 'sold domains' is the most logical place for these posts. If the proposed hierarchical structure is implemented then Sedo and any other auction provider would also require a separate sub-forum, moving the conversation from sales price to sales venue. I acknowledge that the sales venue is an important factor and that price alone should not be considered in isolation but in assessing the value of my domains I want to know price followed by venue - in that order.

I agree.

No need to change IMO - It's great how it is.

Maybe it is just me then! To be honest I didn't know you could just hover to see the prices!

Cheers.

£30 just aint news! lol
its like spam keep cominh through in my opinion

make it x,xxx sales if possible, or at least high xxx to be reported imho

I'd rather see the low quality sales removed, or put in a sub forum where they can easily be ignored by anyone who isn't interested. I've not been checking this forum much recently, and the sole reason is because its been flooded by £20 domains and I don't want to look through pages of them...
