I have to agree, the site leaves a lot left to be desired, the developers will be laughing all the way to the bank on this one. The navigation is one of the most horrendously layed out pieces of junk i've ever had the misfortune of using. It's a mess. The back button on the browser hasn't been set to take you back a step either, just takes you back to the previous site you were viewing, some real basic errors! I can't spend another minute looking at it.

Developers are laughing all the way to the bank on this one 2.5 mil for a geosite is taking the pee however you look at it.
I'm guessing the tourist board supplied most of the content as well.

That being said I don’t hate the design actually works well on nice modern 1080p monitor.

As for smartphones you need to get a good one that is really smart as my android phone and tablet can both open and navigate the site fine.

It loads the Spanish version for me here in Spain, not sure if its the same as the English version but its crap.

No clue what to click on, very little information and the site seems very very slow as well.

Got my hands on some documents about this site, haven't read all of them but so far it's very interesting.

Not sure if they'll ever be made public but if they do I'll update this thread.

I understand when they were brainstorming about the design The message they want too portray? Understandably they wanted to get away from the stereotypical leprechaun, shamrock and Guinness so went with a up-to-date cutting edge site which is a modern a representation of the country atm so they went with the it’s fucked theme which personally I think they achieved?

Your also forgetting after hearing the budget the designers were too busy booking long holidays, down the car showrooms, buying retirement villas in the Caribbean to waste time on something so petty as design I’m surprised that the site didn’t just have one of those under construction with a guy digging a hole as the main page and a hotmail contact email ... Money well spent ?
