Wanted: Domain Appraisal InterTelly.com

Hi folks

I just thought I would ask what you think of this name, it seems to be that the internet and telly is starting to merge, I suppose you didn’t have to be septic peg to see that one coming, with internet video streaming boxes that connect to your telly now hitting the market, Google’s and Apple’s to name a couple and even telly’s with this built in I think we are going to be watching plenty of internet content on the telly in the not too distant future, actually I just brought one from marks and sparks yes they now sell them too and it’s absolutely brilliant, I can watch YouTube and the BBC iplayer on it, no more taking the laptop up to bed. Anyway with the grand merging of these two media platforms in mind and the ever increasing popularity of video content on the internet I thought I would take a punt on intertelly.com I like it and think it’s really brandable, but what do you reckon is it ever likely to be worth anything? Bearing in mind I may have to wait for this sort of thing to become a bit more popular which I think it will. Maybe I am asking for an appraisal a little too early and I will probably develop it, but I would just like to know what people think of the name it’s self and am grateful for any feedback. Sorry to ramble on I do tend to do that a bit.

I think intertv would be better but if and when we all have internet tvs then it could have some value at maybe around £350 to £500 but tbh telly instead of tv ruins it.

Internet access should be a huge driver for TV sales, but I think making up terms ahead of popular adoption is always a risky strategy, although as domainers we all like to have a go at this.

My view is that a TV is still going to be referred to as a TV, whatever features it has.

Thanks guys, yes like you say it is a bit of a risky tactic but one that us domainers can’t resist now and again, I have been much more strict with my cold reg’s these days, but when I found this I just thought it was so brandable and just couldn’t resist and you know how it is when you go to bed instead of thinking of sheep you are thinking intertelly.com, intertelly.com, intertelly.com, lol you know how it is. Anyway I am most likely going to develop it somehow as I am getting more into developing these days than just domaining, but still aren’t sure exactly what I am going to do with it, which do you think would be better a site dedicated to selling internet tv sets/boxes or just making it some kind of video site?
