RE J0bs.co.uk
Aww fella im not happy with you, I wasted £15 on some domains to complement your domain for you, and you were not interested.
So I make a bid on sedo for your domain, just a couple of hundred dollars as thats where I saw it.
You replied wanting $1000 with the comment you have previously had higher offers.
So blow me down when I see that although you offered it to me for £500 you sold it for more than 3 times more just an hour or so later.
So i guess you never sold it then, and you feel you have to lie about it on here, how very sad.
Guess you will own that domain forever!
police.co.uk
could you prss the name RESERVED?
I can understand why nominet reserve some names but .me.uk's, come on guys! What is the world coming to if you need to reserve a .me.uk ext, lol - I had huge plans to take over the world with com.me.uk, I've been foiled
Barry
Barry you're in luck, it's free to reg still However, I see someone has just regged con.me.uk
Paul
Further to all this I have found this gem after trawling archives on an unrelated matter from 2003 regarding Internet.co.uk :
Thank you for your email regarding internet.co.uk.
This domain has been registered before 1996 and before Nominet came into existence and therefore we do not have any contact details on our database.
At the moment,we are in the process of trying to find legal registrant of these domain names such as internet.co.uk. If unable to find the registrant, the domain name will be suspended, and if the registrant still does not contact us after suspension, the domain name will be cancelled at our discretion.
In order to maintain Nominet's policy of .uk domain names being available on a first-come first-served basis, we cannot confirm when the internet.co.uk domain name will be cancelled. All I can suggest is to check regularly the status of the domain on our WHOIS database. If a domain name states "no match" it is available.
Nominet say it was registered before 1996, and thus before Nominet existed.
It was not suspended as the original owner was found, erm, Nominet.
Oddly enough if the real legal owner came forward there could be no DRS as Nominet are not able to hold a contract with themselves thus no DRS applies.
Without the tinfoil hat I am guessing it was a reserved name or the like and is being kept as so.
All quite interesting though
