Been offered £4000 for injurysolicitor.com - is that good? Seems low considering that solicitors make £2000+ for each whiplash claim they do! ;)

Would have been better in plural. I'd say it's a good offer considering NoWinNoFeeSolicitors.com sold for $3,320 only last year. In my opinion that's a far better name with more exacts too ;)

Its low. I get jokers every week offering me a few grand for some of the best KW domains in PI that I own...

Trouble is most people offering are not solicitors, its leadgen companies who make several hundred a case at the most...

plural better, but nice domain, and some age to it
i think you can get considerably more
i would want high xxxx personally to an enduser
good luck

I'd take £4k any day.

"injury solicitor" only gets 1600 local exacts.
Although it's a .com, in the states they're called lawyers, so I think mainly relevant to UK
Solicitors would be better.
Quite a nice domain name in terms of it has something of an air of authority to it

I found this thread quite interesting because I recently registered backinjurysolicitor & backinjurysolicitors .com & .co.uk

Although it's much more specific and gets less searches per month, there are solicitors who specialise in back injuries, and they make thousands per client - probably more in fees than the injured get in compensation.

I've put a site up on the plural co.uk with the aim of selling advetising, and of course at getting it ranking for more desirable terms, like back injury comensation, etc.

Looking at other general sites that offer advertising to solicitors, they charge thousands per year for a small ad, so this is the route I'm going down with it.

I don't know if it'll work, but I'm sure there will be those who will be happy to pay to advertise on it.

I put a site on it about 4 days ago, it's already on page 1.

Even if I don't get any advertisers and a relatively low number of visitors I can put adsense on it - at £25+ per click it should be quite lucrative.

I think you might be better off doing something simlar, you'd probably make a lot more money from it.

If I get all of my advetising spots sold at the price I've put on them it'd bring in around £75K per year!

How mad is that?

A bit of a strange one solicitors in the UK most are still in the dark ages about the net. The majority want quality leads high payout cases rather than low ones. Hence there are a lot in hospitals renting out office space (ambulance chasers …?) I suppose the longer your in a hospital higher the payout…? Maybe better returns and choice for them than a web site…

Could be waiting a while for a better offer...? Have you actively marketed the name ? Make the effort if you want to sell it higher and see what comes back…? Your could probably buy a more marketable name in a different field for 4k in the current market?

Don't want to be a partypooper but I'm not sure £25 per click on adsense is realistic. Let me know if it happens!

Will do if I go down that route, but solicitors are minted, they fight each other to get these clients, so I do believe googles figures, I think they'll be paying a lot per click for terms like back injury compensation, etc.

Some of them even offer 100% of your compensation PLUS a £500 bonus!

Just shows you how much they make per case.

Solicitors pay £25 on Google Adwords, but not for content network ads, just the search results. I've had Adsense on law pages before and got anything from £0.10-£1.50 per click. I got one £2 click once ... but just once ...
