Sold for £400

I'm gutted, what do you lot think?

Also they want to do escrow which has ****ed me off no end, I don't like dealing with people that don't trust me, I'm tempted to call it off.

I need a snout I aint 'kin happy.

A sour deal.

Well ladies and gentleman, I said sold so I will but this is the first domain I've sold where the deal stinks and I aint happy. I still don't want to sell it, not this way, I think it's a liberty. Mark my words, something's wrong with this but I don't know what yet.

Lee, if you aren't happy with the deal why sell it???

In truth because I took the £400 when I was after £500 then got slapped with escrow, he'd mentioned it earlier but I tell you, even though I'm Millwall I can't be arsed with the ag these days and I didn't like the reasoning either - I bet I just sold it to apple or some such company, if it is I'll go mental. This is why I have to be happy when I sell so I don't care what happens after.

A domainer is interested at a similar price so there's obviously some resale value in it - possibly, either that or it was for personal use. The interested party started at £100 so when they take the mick I go £1500, I wanted £850, they go £200 then £300 then today £400, second time they said final offer, they won, I'm the mug, I should have stuck to my guns and waited for the £500.

I wanted £500, I guess it's all because I'm so close to achieving the amount I need to leave for Romania, 'kin soft touch today.

Hi Lee,

Personally, I think £400 is OK and reasonable for the name. :) - look at it this way, you may have had the name for another 1 or 2 or more years unsold and worth nothing while sitting on the shelf. If you pull the deal, it may be a long time (it may not be!) before you sell it again, it's a risk isn't it? You need to at least sleep on it.

At least this way you've got £400 in your back pocket, which is not to be sniffed at from just a reg fee after all.

With Escrow, I can understand it's frustrating and just extends the process, but unfortunately in today's world, although I'm sure you are totally trustworthy, many people just aren't prepared to take the risk, unless they've dealt with you before. :D Is the buyer paying Escrow fees?

They're paying escrow, I just don't trust third parties, 'kin muggy third parties always stealing money and holding up the process. They're also going to pay transfer fee, aint told 'em yet, got so angry about escrow, I aint paying transfer if I'm waiting two weeks for the money, half the enjoyment of selling a domain is having the cash instantly. Perhaps it's a good thing, I can't buy anything then.

Yes, I'm pretty sure I've been done, ah well, lost another £100 today as interest has gone cold in another, this week is ****!

I knew I should have stayed in bed, just lost a £1000 and another £100 interest. That's the three, now for the good luck please. frontofhouse.co.uk for £500 on sedo please, followed by affiliatemarket.co.uk for £1200 and what say a bulk sale for £1150 late Friday... here's hoping.

Have you managed to find who owns ilifestyle.com? (because it could be the same people after the .co.uk?)

ilifestyle definitely seems to be an apple term if you search for it (and iphone) on google!

The buyer is a Gavin Wiseman, from the way he was talking to me I knew he wasn't a novice, turns out he's some sort of known entrepreneur, has a few sites, from home buying to web development, he's done a job on me, I should have stuck to the £500.

I've seen this before, one company bid £100 then raised to £1000 - similar tactics, also he likes to be in control. Even got me to do escrow, I should have just told him to go away but I need the money so they win, I've lost £1400 this week as it is. Yes I've sold a domain I shouldn't, nevermind, first mistake when selling a domain, not bad, I still got money.
