Do Godaddy now do full rights transfers ? In the past you could push to another godaddy account for free, but you then had to do a nominet transfer to change the whois and registrant email, if they still do that then you could just login to nominet , change the tag of the domain to something like Namecheap and then transfer into namecheap for $7.
Obviously if Godaddy do now change registrant email and whois details..........probably little you can do other than raise a complaint with godaddy as an abusive transfer.

I've had people agree to buy domains, given me their invoice details then never paid
I've chased them up in the following weeks to see if they still want to proceed, no reply
I could have transferred the domain into their name without them accepting it, does that make it any more of a binding deal?
Was this domain transferred into their name without their active participation
Unless they expressly said "transfer the domain, then I will pay" it's a bit iffy
I know it's probably not legally correct, but even after someone agrees a deal, until I receive payment I don't take it as a confirmed deal
