Masking tape dispenser might be very focussed, but they only actually cost £3-£7 each to buy, so I don't see how a CPC of £2.57 (for a click, not a purchase) fits on with your logic?
The point I was trying to make is that CPC really doesn't bear much relation to cost or profit in many sectors - it is far more down to the promotional activities of companies in each area, and in many cases I'd say the figures are wildly inaccurate in any case - ie the [bacons] CPC of £1.73 quoted above bears no relation to advertising activity on the phrase, as there are no advertisers for that keyword, so no competition, therefore you'd be #1 for the minimum ad cost of 2p or 4p or whatever it is these days.
