I am interested in buying this domain but I'm not sure what offer to make. I sell history timeline posters so it is perfect for me.

I don't think you're suppose to ask for appraisals of domains you don't own :neutral: but not 100% on that.

But if you're interested in buying it, shouldn't you know what it's worth to you?

If you aren't sure what to offer then go for the lowest amount you feel would at least get a response and some dialogue going.

Well, I know the price they are asking and it seems ridiculously high to me (and outside my price range). But I was curious to know what others thought. I won't mention the price though as that might influence people's appraisal.

And sorry if this question is out of line. Anyone know for sure if this inquiry is legit?

It's quite simple really, you should work out the maximum you are happy to pay, that makes business/investment sense. Then offer then say 15% of that figure. If they don't accept and counter offer, then keep increasing your offer up to the maximum.

If they won't take your maximum, then walk away.
