AFAIK - and this is what my Accountant is working on convincing himself that a domain name is classed as - a Personal Asset being used in pursuance of a business, owned for 2 years, the tax liability is somewhere under 10% anyway.
(xxx,xxx - deduct 75% taper relief - deduct some threshold/allowance - taxed @ 40 %)
That's a perfectly legitimate less-than-10% tax hit, that HMRC will smile sweetly upon.
...don't have to leave the country, don't have to sell precisely in May, don't have to look over your shoulder wondering if HMRC will catch up.
