HelpToBuy.org.uk (SEO)

Well done, Wayne, delighted for you :)

Congrats, really chuffed for the seller, and the very best of luck to the buyer. We live in tough times and it's good to see some people grabbing life by the horns! :)

Well done and great to see so many different bidders involved in this auction and all bidding serious money.

If you spend £40k on something like this you aren't buying it to run a scam. I'm certain the new owner will be fully compliant because to benefit you need to keep the trust, and make it properly compliant. They guys running finance won't sweat over £40k that i can promise you, running at full tilt in a good market that's profit monthly/weekly who knows. Remember, all things equal this thing needs no seo.

The risk might be Gov changing the scheme name, but it was in the news this morning that Barratt housing is doing very well from the scheme so it's obviously running nicely at the moment.

Waiting eagerly to see some kind of NS/tag update for that and (tights.co.uk). Personally although great sales for the domain industry I think both are totally over priced, and if they are legit sales I'm surprised they're not finalised sooner.

My opinion on this is that, we stop discussing this auction please. The auction ended and lets move on, there are more auctions to look out for and don't let us dwell on this one.

The seller got a good sale and the buyer got what they wanted after a good auction fight, I have ordered more popcorn via Deliveroo and seating tight(not wearing tights) for the next auction frenzy.

Surprised they not leaned on Nom to get this returned, be an interesting benchmark in domaining if they did.. kind of a moronic purchase when you think of what else you could have bought for 40k especially when you consider the timing - A. we're most likely going into a recession, B. low end housing market probably screwed for rest of the year (if not next 12 months) given current situation, C now set up on gov.uk

Sorry to revive this but some of these replies didn’t age well.

I feel like that is probably irrelevant. The most up-to-date and active wayback archive shows a Mortgage referral landing page, the says they helped 19,811 last month (in 2022). If that's truthful, and they were getting a percentage kickback from successful referrals, I would bet they made their money back and some.

But what do I know.
Why shut it down if it was so successful?
