Well in most cases the only time you see that kind of action is if someone is shill bidding, however, Phil is a genuine guy so i can't see that being the case! So the only other conclusion would be someone wanting to disrupt the auction..
I think Denys has done the right thing here because if two people were willing to pay this amount the auction would have gone here anywayWith everything said though and Luke77 being weeded out, the bidding should have 100% went back to the bidding prior to him getting involved e.g. £760 -- Buyer5 -- 21-07-2019 -- 18:38:28.
Denys is keeping me up to date.
A shame there are idiots out there who do this and mess up genuine auctions - crazy!
Or is it sure this guys just someone messing with domainlore
As a guess, I would say bid from Luke77 was to reveal the highest offer. Why, is another question. We now know with some confidence the amount required to win the auction.

Hopefully there are plenty of people on here who can vouch for me
I've been in the domain game for 15 years.
I'm not going to risk my reputation just to bump up a domain for a few thousand pounds.

I think Deyns is pretty hot at spotting any shill bidding and anyone who gets caught attempting to do this gets banned, which is not so good if use DL a lot to auction your domains, which is why I think it is quite rare for it to happen and I would suspect only attempted by naive newbies. Some people open fake accounts to run the price up on own auction ( NOT IN ANYWAY SAYING THAT WHAT HAPPENED HERE) COuld also be someone trying to bad rep DL. Site has been attacked recently apparently.
Didnt Mark get whisky ?
