Heya Folks

Didn't even know there was a forum specifically for co.uk domains... nice!

I've been a domainer for a while and belong to another domaining forum but have never owned many .co.uk domains..

When I got hold of Chris frm Zycon he suggested I check this place out :)

So here I am...

Busy poking around there at the moment ...looks interesting.

Welcome :)

I'm guessing you've already watched the UK scene, so know its nothing like the .com or simialar, so take your time and watch what sells. Its certainly a buyers market at the moment (imo).

@Skinner

Thanks for the warm welcome..

To be honest..I haven't dont much UK trading...I didnt realize it was a different beast compared to .com - I have other ccTLD's as well like co.za and .in and .ca domains.. but recently started acquiring .co.uk

Picked up a decent one that I have for sale here at the moment (londonTourist.co.uk)

Welcome :)

And yes a very different animal all together, will save you a bundle if you take the time to learn what works and what doesn't. An obvious example is LLLL.com every single one is taken, LLLL.co.uk only about 10% are taken. So a little time watching, will pay off 10 fold :)

I guess if you think of it like SA tld's, it works along the same lines, what works in .com won't work in SA.

How is the SA market ?

Most excellent, thanks for the heads up mate.

I see what you mean now, makes sense. I guess the Chinese market has also changed the .com landscape considerably with the demand for Chips LLL and NNN .com's.

The SA market is alive and kicking mate,...I would advise getting in now. There are still lots of hidden gems that can be hand registered...sure u have to dig around a bit but they are out there. Buy them now and park them....I think in a a year or two end user sales will start picking up considerably. There have already been loads of decent sized sales on the .co.za extension on namebio over the years, it's just that they are not "fast movers" at the moment. I expect that to change soon (I own loads of .co.za domains....and am waiting in anticipation :) )
