Google's answer to the social network has launched!

Surprised no-one has beaten me to it to post here or are you too busy polishing your domains?

It's a little 'old hat' as it's their 3rd foray into this space?

Seriously, can anyone keep up with all these updates?! In the past week we've had What Do You Love, a toolbar PR update, the stylistic changes to the SERPs, an overhaul of the Web Font Directory and changes to Google Sites, and also Google+.

My brain is close to exploding.

Edit: Add author tag testing in search results to that list as well.

People are gradually getting pissed off with Google. REAL pissed off. I understand the mainsteam know no different, but I wish I had a 10-year looking glass.

I'm getting "Google+ is in limited Field Trial"

Am I going to the correct url?

It's in "Limited Field Trial" at the moment.

You can sign up though to be notified when it goes fully live.

I'll probably sign up purely for marketing reasons / research.

I'm guessing you won't all be adding lots of plus ones to your google profiles then lol

Big mistake in my book. Get in there first and enjoy all the free traffic as it grows.

Get your plus buttons pasted ASAP lol

I only wish I had a decent site to promote :-(

I mentioned it yesterday but nobody took a blind bit of notice lol.

I hate G as a webmaster, but I have to admit that from the reviews and articles I've seen G+ looks pretty cool. I also hate FB, even though I use it all the time. They seem to go out of their way to piss users' off, constant layout changes, privacy etc. A decent alternative could see FB go the way of Myspace, fingers crossed...

Set up the google plus one button on a clients site today and it appears the button is currently only visible to users of chrome unless i read that wrong?

Does anyone else think Google might be better off "branding" their social network offering a bit better, i.e. thinking of a shorter, snappier name than Google+, and then buying the .com for it.

At the moment it just uses the subdomain:

https://plus.google.com/

I just think its own brand and domain would make it so much easier to market.

Rgds

Just added it my website, seems really easy to do great feature :D

It's hard enough keeping up with all of the changes on facebook. I don't see the benefit of joining a new facebook clone.
