Google Adsense for domains

I don't think they are, as it is just showing a search portal on parked domain...
What;s good is it? and seriously you can't do much SEO about this., I think

List over 600 domains....but google has not picked them all up yet, only 40

This is so annoying. The CNAME and A records should all have changed in sync, but not all have updated. Bloody annoying. It could be taking ages to propogate, why o why dont google just use bloody name servers!!

I just keep getting 404 error on most of my domains, despite changing the CNAME and A records. Bah, its such a pain.

So far not impressed with AFD

1. Google seem to take an eternity to approve domains in my case. Perhaps its just slow propogation of the DNS.
2. Click throughs are low and the screen design is dull and uninteresting.
3. Revenue is lower than through parking companies.
4. No flexibility to sell domains/contact me.
5. No images....

Its early days, but not sure that I'm going to stick too much longer with google AFD.

screen design is dull and uninteresting.

After first posting this thread we all seem to have access to what must be a very dull page.
I sure wont be using but intrested if others find its paying off.

I've just added my first domain. It gets plenty of traffic, so lets see if it converts any better than via the normal parking service I use.

Must be doing something stupid, but the instructions are not clear to me and heartinternet does not allow me in the form for the A records to enter what is suggested for the A records i.e.:

@ A (address) 216.239.32.21

I just dont get this. I though one can enter "*", but not "@". Do they mean "*". The error I get is:

Failed to add A record.

Any ideas???

Hi Disruptive,

I notice that you managed to crack the A record and Cname set up with heartinternet.co.uk. Would you be kind enough to share how you did this ? I have pulling my hair out this morning and the Google Instructions seem only to concentrate on the big mainstream hosts. Heart Internet DNS options do not seem to fall into the same bracket as any of these :-(

Thanks
Matt

Just to update.... I figured this out by trial and error so if anyone else has heartinternet domains then do the following to DNS settings after adding them to your adsense list.

Remove all existing A records and add the four IP addresses leaving the subdomain field blank for each.

Then for the Cname add www as the subdomain and enter your publish code IP address or hostname field (eg pub-XXXXXXXXXX.afd.ghs.google.com.)

Now I just have to manually change about 100 undeveloped domains. Joy :(

I am disappointed with the revenues. Plenty of traffic, but not as good as fabulous, where some domains where getting upwards of $10 per click. Its really averaged down with AFD. I think so far, for me it sucks. Ive given it a while, but it just does not convert well. I think the pages are ugly!
