Hi Guys,

For Sale : GOLD.CO.UK

With the price of scrap gold jewellery flirting with an all-time high, and companies like Tesco PLC now moving in to the scrap gold buying market with " Tesco Gold Exchange ", I thought it would be the perfect time to advertise the premium domain name " GOLD.CO.UK " for sale.

More information on the sale of gold can be found here > buy gold.co.uk domain

Alternatively you can place a bid below or PM me direct for further details.

This is a name which is truly worth it's weight in gold, and if placed in the right hands would make a fortune I'm sure....

Thanks for your time all.

Regards,
Barry

How about fifteen pounds? (had to meet short character limit)

That's fifteen English pounds.

Was going to make a £25 offer (...valid for 10 minutes only...) but then noticed the reserve of £200k :D

Great domain, best of luck selling Barry!

Gold.co.uk - Money For " Gold.co.uk "

James... like you and TY have got that kind of money, £15 / £20 would take you in to your overdraft, don't skint yourself out guys :p

and thanks Wb, obviously your the intelligent acorner who can read, hehehe

Some good verbiage on the sales page, but I don't understand why you didn't connect the final dot. After all, you've broken down the PPC cost side of thing, so why not follow up with something like "Even undeveloped, Gold.co.uk receives an average of 220 visitors a day from type-in traffic looking to see what's at the domain name, which over the course of a year would represent the equivalent of 75,000 pounds worth of traffic (had the same number of visitors been acquired via PPC channels). And that's just the first year - this is a traffic stream that will continue to accrue to the new buyer forever!"

NOTE: put the real numbers in above, I just made them up...

Gold Domain For Sale > GOLD.CO.UK (Gold)

Good advice as usual Edwin, much appreciated.

@ Richardc - I have an offer on the table for £150k but that's via a broker which obviously means commissions will have to be deducted, so I'm seeing what leads i can generate myself before i commit to anything etc.

Barry

Hi Richard - I have just replied with full buyer details via PM

What % commission does the broker want to take?

If sedo broker 15% now, was 10% prior to Jan 2011 .. i dont see how a broker can charge a seller anything by way of commission if the broker has not been exclusively contracted to sell a domain name .. if a broker approaches a domain owner with an offer for a domain then he is acting on behalf of a potential buyer who has contracted the broker to attempt to purchase a domain on his behalf .. brokers can't have it both ways .. if a seller engages a broker to sell on his behalf that is usually an exclusive contract .. if you sell yourself or through some one else whilst the contract is in force then you still have to pay the brokerage fee to the broker that you employed .. these contracts usually run for 3 to 6 months ..

Gold.co.uk is listed for sale at Sedo.co.uk in the general sales listings ..

Gold.co.uk is truely one of the great names ..

£150k i would sell imho but that depends on how much you need the money,if i had a few million like some dominers i would keep it.

Gold.co.uk

Give you £25 Pounds in Scottish £1 notes for such a fine name.
You can buy some sweets and candy for that large amount of cash.

Todays rate for all of you south of the border. currency exchange rates are £25.00 Scottish notes is same as £25.00 English notes but we have nicer pictures on our money.

The Tesco Gold Exchange news certainly gives your domain name a potential boost.

This guy has already tried to sell this domain several times. Including at an irish auction last year. Seems there is'nt a market like what he was hoping.

from the same user:
It seems that you are all caught up with a market which the bottom fallen out some time ago. Gold.co.uk is probably worth around £20,000 at best, same as any other generic domains. The new domain system is coming in to place in around a year making co.uk's a think of the past.

also tried to buy from barry before http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/premium-domain-names/73950-auditors-co-uk.html#post267888

Laughable.

Gold.co.uk -uk gold domain - (GOLD)

The Tesco Gold Exchange news certainly gives your domain name a potential boost.

I agree, that and the fact that gold prices are at an all-time with no signs of it letting up, financiers are saying that gold prices will continue to increase and are likely to hit figures of $5000 per ounce over the next couple of years, that's a huge increase and great news for those who are in the gold business, be it an investor or scrap gold buying company.

GOLD.CO.UK is a name which will never change or fade away, and a commodity which will always trade until the end of time.

This is the perfect time to sell, when listing previously with the American guys in Ireland this was a big mistake as the auction didn't get the exposure that Rick Latona wanted, i think 6 domains sold out of 300+, and that was with other greats listed like ER.COM which didn't sell too etc...

this is why i am now trying to sell the name 'GOLD.CO.UK' myself - Already I've received 2 offers from Acorn members at £100K so i would say that's pretty good going so far for considering I've only just started promoting it

I guarantee by next week the name will be sold for a very respectable sum :)

Regards,
Barry
