What approach are you taking Sound? Are you acquiring .com's at auction etc, or attempting to catch them?

How many is a few 1, 2, 3 - 250+?

Sorry I'm not quite sure why I don't understand you don't just buy the lot up yourself with this 'inside knowledge' if they're so valuable?

I have few, bought them long time ago.

Update: 133 left.

This is statistical information only, your negativity only adds popularity to the thread. Better forget it. )))

From shanes blog today

One of the things I have been looking into for each type of “hot” category of domains is the “float”. Much like stocks, some of the more limited categories 4N.com, 5N.coms, even NNN.xyz are tight. Meaning there just aren’t many being offered for sale. It’s because high percentages of the names are being held by a few people.

I'm asking you a very simple question, and that is: 'ballpark' - how many LLLL have you bought, and actually have you bought a lot recently due to this constant price increase.

I don't think its an unreasonable question that I'm asking.

already answered to your question. I didn't buy any recently. have few what are bought long time ago (many years ago)

Thanks anyway.

hey guys, I sold a few Chinese premiums a month or two ago and needless to say am pretty disappointed as they just keep climbing in price. I sold at $900, now they are about 1200-1400 min or so.

I do think they are way overpriced now though, and expect their prices might collapse soon, so not buying any now. Similarly to what happened back in 2009 when LLLL.com prices peaked and then dropped down quickly.
Basically in the past year or so they went up 15-20x in price, for no particular reason, which is just crazy! Yep the chinese are investing a lot of money in it, buying in bulk.. but I think as long as there is no significant end user demand to support the sharp price rises it's just a bubble, and bubbles tend to burst.

But I buy other LLLL.com's whenever I find good deals. Got about 50 of them now. Will probably start selling soon as I think it's getting dangerous.

New Godaddy based CP LLLL.com statistics is out,
Last day activity is within $1000-$1999 BIN price range.

Update: As you can see from the picture there is increased activity in last two days where LLLL.com BIN prices under $1000 on Godaddy. Maybe it's because LLLL.net prices are on a rise. Chips also doing well and they total count continue to decrease, especially in the $1000-$1999 price range.

Some interesting story to tell you, today morning one guy from dnforum contacted me and offered $1200 for each of chinese premium LLLL.com's from the list I published one post above (121 4L.com). So, he wanted to invest 150K, quite impressive amount. I replied to him that names are not mine, that I just publish statistics. Looks like prices may jump very soon and chinese buy all the names )))

After my post of the Godaddy 121 CP LLLL.com list priced below $2K,
almost 35% names are gone yesterday. So there is still around 80 names left to choose from.
Will post updated stats on Monday.

New stats are out. As you see from the picture 1K-2K price range are drying up.
Some names sold, some probably rearranged/moved by owners to higher price range.
The total count of CP-s and total count of LLLL.com increased around 30 domains.

Thanks for sharing the definitions, situation on the market change very fast
at the moment only 53 CP LLLL.com left on Godaddy where BIN price < $2000

Might help if you provided a clear definition of some of your shorthand acronyms because some are non standard. I am sure you don't wish to appear to be writing to yourself. To clarify.

CP - Chinese Premiums I presume. Domain Names with no "a,e,i,o,u" (vowels) and also no "v" I believe?

Chips - Not sure what that means and you've used it over at NamePros in a similar thread. Actually is it another concocted way of saying Chinese Premiums, come to think of it?

LLLL - I know this. Letter, Letter, Letter, Letter.

Believe me, some reading your posts may not be aware of some of your shorthand. :)
