Wanted: Website Review Geo review

I would be interested in feedback on the following site, especially from those here with an interest in geos. The system is totally general, so can be implemented on a different domain very quickly.

It is only a first release to aid indexing in Google, so is a little dull - basically it is just a business directory. Later releases will include far more user content.

Neither, custom coded from scratch in ASP.

Thanks for taking a look. The home page is always a bit of a lash up with me, and I need to optimise the metatags, titles, and h1 throughout the site. At the moment they are generated, but I will be pulling them back into the database so I can manually override them. Changed the homepage on your recommendation though.

Try not too fall into the trap of I'll just stick it up and sort it out after its done regarding meta tages and optomisation as if the spider thinks its bad so to speak it will not hurry back ? try and get away from hosting in germany and 1and1 I would not be surprised if alot of there ip's are not blacklisted or under attack from happy customers the welsh ones yours too ?

Aaaha, gotcha. Thanks for that, they will all be corrected within the next week. Spent a lot of time on the url structures but was a little too quick on the metas titles etc.

I have tried to find a reliable UK dedicated server provider, but keep failing. Did make an order at Poundhost but they screwed up the order which put me off so I cancelled. Any recommendations?

Yup, their mine along with a few others but not rolled out yet (just testing the system with cwmbran.com). Hosting around £100pm.

We run our own but have still got some with webfusion that Have had for years think they only charge us 300-400 per year but I'm not sure how good they are recently or nicnames(easyhost) used to be quite good express-hosting.co.uk Ihear are pretty good

Depends alot on the traffic you think your going to get and if you want to offer other services its pretty cheap to set up your own

The data provider has rich data for larger towns, including photos. You simply have to pay for them!
