Smarter WifiKettle

The world’s first Wifi kettle is the new kitchen appliance from the Smarter range for the connected home. Our Wifi kettle makes a great gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or, better still, to treat yourself. Controlled by a smartphone app, your kettle can be operated from anywhere in the home or office, producing the perfect cuppa every time with the variable temperature control and "keep warm" feature. Save time in the morning- set the Wifi kettle to wake you up so that you’re ready to go on time. Pre-boiling your kettle will save you over 5 precious minutes every morning and the "welcome home" mode will automatically ask you if you want to pop the kettle on as soon as you walk in the door. The kettle is easy to use and operated by simply pressing the on button either on your app or on your kettle base. Why not invite friends round for a brew using the "share" feature? You can also set up your kettle on your home network and add an unlimited number of guest users to join your Wifi kettle network--in the office or at home you can get everybody connected. The sleek, contemporary design makes the kettle easy to keep clean and maintain and can also be matched to your existing kitchen scheme with a "skin" that is available in five gorgeous colours.
Connectivity

The Wifi kettle allows you to control the kettle from anywhere in the home or office via your iPhone, iPad, iPod or Android device. This allows you to save time by pre-boiling your kettle before you make your hot beverage--no more waiting for the kettle to boil. The multiple user access means you can add as many users/devices as you wish to a Smarter Wifi kettle.
Smartphone app

The Wifi kettle comes with its own Smarter application, which is compatible with iOS and Android devices. Download it free via your app or play store. The app boasts many features, such as "home mode", "wake up mode" and the "share" feature. App updates mean the user can update the software to access new features as they are released.

Wake Up Mode

Home Mode

Arrive home from work with the Wifi kettle ready for you. The Wifi kettle knows when you have arrived home via the application and will prompt you, asking if you would like a cuppa. Who needs a butler?

Schedule

Time is precious. Save time and create your own schedule. Set the kettle to notify you to turn on at times when it suits you, whether it's to keep you going through the day or to remind you to have some downtime with friends and a cuppa.

Socialise with Multiple User Access

Invite friends with the new social features. Send messages and invites through the Smarter app via Twitter, Facebook and more. Get together with friends and family and have a tea together. Make drink requests or ask a friend how they would like their tea or coffee before you forget to add the sugar.

Variable Temperature Control

Boiling water at too high a temperature can make certain teas taste bitter. Variable temperature control allows you to heat the water at 4 different temperatures to achieve the best tasting teas and coffee. Temperatures to choose from are: 65’c (ideal for green teas), 80’c (perfect for white teas), 95’c (black and oolong), 100’c (herbal). "Keep warm" mode will keep your kettle warm for up to 20 minutes until you’re ready for a cuppa. The in-app "brew timer" ensures your tea is perfectly brewed every time.

I've just got out of the pool after walking the dog. We get a right sweat on hiking up the hill at the back of the house so both decided to jump in afterwards. I'm now sat in a towel watching the end of the Malaga game with a coffee. No real plans for tonight, bit of work, bit of TV and if I can be bothered getting up to go to the fridge, I might treat myself to an Amstel. Although I had 4 last night and stunk out the bedroom. Mrs wasn't pleased. I might have a red wine instead.

There are lots of places around Europe you can live for a hell of a lot cheaper than the UK. You can really spend as little or as much as you like - in any country...

I'm leaving Spain in November, going back to Czech Republic (lived there 5 years from 2007).

Regarding the ease of it all. I guess it depends where you go. When I first left the UK to move to Czech Republic, I found everything easier. I walked into a letting agents, found an apartment in the center the morning after I arrived, paid a deposit and moved in the same afternoon. No credit checks or fucking around with references. Bills were paid to the landlord and I got my Internet connected within 2 days. That was everything I needed.

Sean, Albania would probably be affordable for you.
