Wanted: Domain Appraisal FullHdLCDTV.co.uk

Hi Everyone

I'm still new to the forums, and not sure whether I should be posting a link to the site in question (or is that considered bad form?)

Anyway the site I would like appraised is: fullhdlcdtv.co.uk

The term gets searched 1,600 times (exact) each month and when I was bothered with it, it got to about position 3 on google page 1.

Could be a good domain for a tv affiliate / retailer?

Personally I think it's becoming accepted and expected that a TV is HD so this domain is probably dying, not worth anything to sell on but I think you should monetise while you can.

Gutted. I thought I was on my way into the echelons of the superwealthy!

Any ideas on how to monetise it? I'm too busy to add content, adsense, easy content units etc - is there a more 'auto' way of doing it?

I would stick it on Storeburst it will rank by itself then
They will provide TVs for you and you get commission from the sales

Well I just set up Storeburst after the recommendation and it was really easy - I'm struggling to get the personalised home page module showing up, but other than that it was a doddle.

I'm still new to this, so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

I'm interested how it will perform with the infamous May Google Slap affecting sites like this.

IMO selling the domain for over £100 would be an achievement. It has some minor traffic but I'd be surprised at a quick sale. It's too easy to find a slight variation of the domain that is free to reg. lcdtv.co.uk on the other hand would be pretty valuable.

Well, it's hard to gauge. The store was easy to set up and from that point of view I highly recommend it.

However I'm not sure of the accuracy of the click statistics. Some days I'm showing twice as many clicks as page views, and none of the clicks has yet led to a sale.

Having said that I suppose the lack of a sale at the back end is not storebursts fault. However - they have only chosen one retailer to display product from and it's not one I would have gone with. I might have a little play and see if I can change the preferred retailer to something else.
