Any ideas/comments on whether this was a good reg with the current World events?

According to a variety of keyword tools there are around 1500 searches per day, but with current events I think you could probably stick a zero or 2 on the end of that?

I'm thinking of banging a site up double quick, but what can I sell on it??

As a name its worthless.

As a site it has potential to earn its cost in Adsense, although who doesn't know what the symptoms of flu actually are?

Im not sure you could sell anything through it directly. PPC is you best bet.

I was thinking that people will panic because of the swine flu thing & will be furiously checking up to make sure they haven't got the symptoms.

At least thats the theory

No one knows where this is going, it could transform with the next person to catch it. It's too late now anyway, they should have stopped travel a week ago.

Millwall fans used to hit them on match day but I wouldn't advise any other contact. It is out of the box, can only hope it don't morph into something more deadly, with summer inbound only time will tell. Level five within two weeks if it's already spread to these dozen or so countries, hopefully the carriers won't spread it in their own countries, if so, that's it.

Where I live Romanians have already been sneezing for a month due to the weather change, which aint bad because I believe it updates the defense regularly, but imagine if it lands here and people are still sneezing, and those face masks do nothing to protect anyone, albeit if you're a carrier, stops your germs going further if you're unclean / don't have manners and don't cover your mouth or wash your hands.

I've been reading a bit about the last flu pandemic & apprently it kills health adults rather than the usual OAPs & children.

It makes healthy immune systems go into overdrive & basically your body attacks itself - its called a cytokine storm - so your body beefing its immune system up might not be a good thing

I've also been chuckling at some of the advice given out on forums - "eat lots of raw Garlic, devils claw, etc" - it's like going back to the middle ages.

I suggested that if the garlic didn't work they could try kissing a warty toad & dancing naked in the moonlight

The obvious solution is to ask the people who have it to hold their breath until it's all over, it's as simple as that.
Of course when they all breath out they would have to exhale into some water with a bit of dettol in it.
