Wanted: Website Review Flight Comparison Site

Thinking of selling this flight comparison website.

Compare Flights

Any thoughts on valuation ? (income so far is about 25GBP a week), ways to improve etc.

I was thinking to add in hotel, holiday and car rental meta searches, perhaps also car parking and travel insurance for extra income.

Also aside from Acorn, any other sites where I can advertise for sale ? Is "Flippa" any good for UK sites like this ?

Works ok, if you can speed up the results I would, they're not slow but the quicker the better IMO

Also if you can have the option of selecting a childs flight on the home page rather than having to search and then adjust.

I preferred the old design, it made you excited about searching for a flight.

No offence but the grey is just depressing. You want bright colours to get people in the mood, especially if you are hoping to attract holidaymakers.

It would also make it look more legit.

Just my two cents.

The site just looks a little dodgy - I would spend some money and get a professional design done that hooks into and a travel API etc.

It's a nice domain, but agree that it needs to look a lot more professional and be focussed around comparing flights on the actual website using an API and not referring them off to SkySkanner of CheapFlights etc.

Also, the first thing a user will see is the "compare hotels" title with a hotel search box - quite likely to have a high bounce rate in my opinion if people are looking for flights when they visit.

Nice brandable domain, agree with most that the site can be improved.

agree with the above, drop the grey and get a nice holiday banner. it looks too much like a blog at present imho.

I think it's an excellent domain name and the site itself is not too bad although I agree it could be sexed up a little more.

For me the site was defaulting to a 6 day gap between outbound and return flights which will stop a fair number of cheaper charter flights being returned if anyone just puts in a destination to see how competitive your site prices are.

As for value.... hmmmm.. Nobody has had a stab at it yet so I'd simply say that the price needs to reflect a sensible multiple of the proven recent monthly income PLUS whatever you value the domain itself at (which is well in to 4 figs IMO).
