Pin for emails.....

7.07pm .......... position 16, now really pee'd off with their queueing music!

oooh ooh. 13. 3 places in 3 mins. not bad !! People obviouly cant take the parlour tunes anymore!

7.55. position 4.

I will never buy another domain through fasthosts!

finally got through at 8.32 after waiting for 1h 54 mins.

a quick 2 min chat and 1 password reset later, and I'm finally in!

I got Fasthosts password letter today, only 11 days after they were supposedly sent. This is actually for a clients site, they pay their own hosting, on their own hosting account. So in their wisdom Fasthosts sent letter to me... <sarc>perhaps they know I maintain the site?</sarc> , or was it just another cockup before total Fasthosts meltdown?

I tried the password. Doesn't seem to work. Still locked out. As it happen this site is one of the hacked sites, but obviously I can't correct this, because I can't get access to fix it!

The hack takes the form of (thankfully non-porn) generic Viagra type pages with images, and nonsence spam text, all buried deep in the site structure. Every page has had code added to the end, linking to about 200 other Fasthost hosted sites. It looks like parts of Fasthosts have been unwittingly turned into huge spam farms, and the password fiasco is making matters worse, not better!

Here's a typical example (not my site or clients!) http://www.cottonpark.co.uk/. All hacked code added to end of real code.

All my other domains under my reseller account are fine, all with passwords successfully changed, none hacked.

Something has gone terribly wrong at Fasthosts, and I still don't believe they are telling the whole truth about what has actually happened, and the scale of the problem.

Anyone got experience of reseller hosting at donhosts or heartinternet?

I called them every word under the sun earlier, they still aint having it, apparantly it's all my fault because I didnt read an email back in october, sorry I was busy.

It's their fault, they said they cant call me as they cant make outgoing calls. I told them if they lose any of mine domains I'll sue them - I think they have already, I've given up for the time being, someone on here said they were on the phone an hour, they can **** right off if they think im spending that much from romania.

I'll keep emailing until they agree to phone me, I aint spending a penny on them unless they promise to refund me. What the hell should I pay for their stupid mistakes?

I have had 11 emails ignored in the past two months, and cannot get through on the phone to cancel an email hosting account, have now handed the matter to my Solicitor, which will cost me £200 but this is now a matter of principle...... what a useless company.
