Those same estate agents will probably swapping their minis for a little plastic badge with 3 stars on soon. What sort of muppet estate agent says that? most people I know use rightmove before anything when househunting.
They don't charge per property just per office, it is expensive but they are way ahead of the competition. They are definitely the "google" of the property website world.hang fire mate we don't even know what rightmove charge per property, if they charge over the odds then what kind of muppet would stay with them is probably a more accurate question!
If your mortgage is only 13k, the rent should be make you some cash, am I reading this string wrong??
Hang it out Lee if you possibly can - tell these leeches there are lots of unsuspecting pensioners that their type are known to regularly have over and they can go find some old grannie to take advantage of...
If this was my situation, I would forget about the house, just let the rent pay the mortgage and forget I even own it.
I would pay the rent in Romania out of my salary or whatever I earnt from this hobby.
I have a couple of properties that I have rented out, the rent just about covers the mortgage payments but I still have to top up the payments with cash from my salary, cash I dont mind paying at all.

It's not nice to rent though, it's dead money.Normally yes, but you have matey in the UK paying your mortgage and you are renting in Romania, so in reality you are paying your own mortgage off in the UK whilst living abroad.
If you didnt have a mortgage and were just renting somewhere, then yes, you could class it as dead money.

Mortgage is only £100 a month, I want to live in my own place, woman interested today so says agent so they've sent details, give that a week see how it goes, not even on websites yet. I'd sell it tomorrow, spoke to legal line on barclays premier today and they said nothing much i can do legally to get in my name and leverage so best off selling, move on.
