I am willing to do what ever it takes, I can get a family member to do the content for me, i will get that going tomorrow.

Sean

How's your affiliate site going - anything to look at yet?

I am ready for nick-harper to take me to the next level, ive joined ebay partner programme and now ready to add api, ive got a new high traffic product name got word press running on it and a logo. ive just come back to this thread now as i need help getting ebay running on the site then we can see how it goes.

The first site I did when i started this thread a couple of weeks ago is climbing the rankings fast!!

Have you got phpbay also and installed it and had a play about with it? The same principle really, quality content and then quality products that people will want and are relevant and targeted.

Phpbay is a great wordpress plugin! easy to set up and use!
Echo that, it is the easiest way to monetize with epn and if you have WordPress it's as simple as entering a keyword and it shows all the items related.

Hi Guys,

Quick question but related...

Ive got a few good furniture names that are doing decent traffic on sedo, should I build a site on each name or build one large big shop and re-direct the furniture names to it?

What would you do?

I would say neither. Pick your best domain and develop that only for now. Don't redirect loads of other domains into it. Its risky and isn't worth doing.

Its unusal you should say that, alot of my customers forward there new domain name to thier exsisting website.

I don't think it's risky if you're just redirecting domains for their type in traffic

As long as it's not to manipulate google rankings it shouldn't be a problem.

You might be doing it for one reason, but Google assumes you're doing it for another. For every domain you redirect, you're adding to the risk of bringing it all crashing down on your head.

Google can see if the domains have type in traffic or not. So if they have back links and no type ins then its going to be obvious that you're doing it for reasons that aren't legit.

Hi Guys Just an update, for some reason pretty much straight after i posted the domain, the rankings started to decline and now the site is not listed in google.

I am not to sure what has happened, its all unique content etc..

Next step needs to be to create a webmaster tools account, verify the site and see if there are any manual actions against it. If there are, I'd bin it and start a new project as this one won't be worth attempting to recover.

I didn't see the domain listed but have you uploaded any well known affiliate software on it.
If so google probably has a fingerprint of the software and as such classed you as an thin site as monkey said check your google webmaster tools if you have it

Got that going now guys, quite good just having a look through now, what should i be looking for?

Once you add a site there and verify it can take a few days for data to flitter in but just watch out for messages if I remember rightly they email you as well when they find problems.
In the past I've received stuff like this

"Google has detected that some of your pages may be using techniques that are outside our Webmaster Guidelines.
As a result of your site having thin content with little or no added value, Google has applied a manual spam action to xxxx/. There may be other actions on your site or parts of your site. "

I think now, any manual action will be viewable instantly.

It tells you how to check it here - https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2604824?hl=en
