Just read the thread a couple of times and watched the video on the site so have a jist of what it's all about

At the moment I'm feeling like it all seems a gamble and if im going to gamble I might as well play online poker :p

It is gambling Murray.

I play online poker too. :)

Easy to get sucked in to it, so be careful. I put a tiny sum in to meet the $100 requirement to get the additional $50, then will play until I lose it all lol ;)

I used to love online poker, I will regale you with my poker history now lol.

When I was 18/19 Ladbrokes used to have free tournaments with actual cash prizes, I think it was max 6000 people could enter

When I first started playing I would just play that, and after a few weeks I won, won $364

Then I started playing $10 rebuy tournaments everyday at 3pm, I think it was $1250 GTD or $1500 GTD, only 120-40 people would enter, used to take about 4 hours to get the final table, used to final table that all the time and won it on a number of occasions

Actually won a decent amount of money over a period of time!

Then Ladbrokes merged with another site or company, instead of 125 people there were 200 people and instead of taking 4 hours to final table it would take 8

Never liked playing cash too much, could only ever seem to break even, but those tournaments i was hot sh1t lol

Don't play anymore, but good memories.

@Murray

It's a very good game.

I've played online poker since it first came out.
I won't bore you now with my long story :)
Maybe another day on a 'poker thread'.

Only play once a month or so now.

Whilst it does appear to take some of the edge off I wouldn't say it's easy.
You are going to face some 'tough' decisions.

1. When Gstllr starts to lose it may not be easy to let him go?

How many days will you give him.. 1 bad day, 2 days? etc.
He will/does have bad days!

I suppose you have to go with his previous form. .... 3 weeks out of four have been profitable. So I would give him 11 days. If things have not changed for the better by then, it is time to move on

Interested to know what happens if you pause a copy and the person trades out.

That could leave you in control of the trade without knowing.
Which could be quite dangerous especially with an open Forex trade. !!

But will have to test that one out.

So much to learn :)

I did this earlier today with "RedSkoul"
When you pause, all live trades stay live. You just do not enter any new trades.

.

I've just spent 10 minutes buying shares. I guess the commodity ones that say waiting only come online when the markets open?

Yes, this is correct. You have to wait until Monday.

11 days?
That's very specific.

You would probably run dry way before then.

That's the beers talking. I think you/I would now when it was time to bale. There are no real specifics.

If the trade is on average $15 I don't think you would waiting until you are dry.

But this is all very exciting. It is all part of it. The great "what ifs"
We will all find out if he goes tits up.

So do they still have control of the open trades?

Yes, you are tied to the live trades up and until you set to pause.
Pause only means you no longer participate in their future trades until you "un pause." or cancel completely.

.

That above doesn't read write.

When you hit the pause button, you are still tied in to all live trades until the trader closes.

You will not enter any new trades until you "un pause"

No what I meaning to ask is..

Say you pause on someone you copy and they sell off a trade.
Will that 'stock' remain active in your account or will it still be sold off by them?

Not sure I'm making sense - Sorry.

It will still show as live in your trading page until they sell and then it will show in your trading history.

I think we have our wires crossed here mate :p

Nay bother.

I'm gabbling on and not making sense obv.
I'll test it out for myself on 'practice mode'
Thanks for your help.

Will catch up with how everyone's doing next week....

No, no.
It is most likely me as I now am officially pissed.
I am probably missing something glaringly obvious.

Test it out (whatever it is ) and then come back and tell us your findings. By that time I should be sober. Well, almost

.

Okay then.
Think on this on your next beer.

If we all copied each other what would explode first?
eToro or your head :p

Good night.
