I generally believe only end users know the true potential of a domain; they are the ones who know how to turn a domain into monthly income.

But what would you guys value estyle.co.uk at?

I can see you've made quite a few "I know best" statements in your short post history, I'll try to take a small bite at each one.

Only end-users ??. Try telling that to those that have a successful model turning over a portfolio of domains.

estyle.co.uk = brand, memorable and workable but with questionable stand alone value. If you really understand the value of "domains" then you'll also know that the market predominately wants .coms when it comes to Brands

I'd say on the whole, end users are the people that know least of the true potential of a domain.

The problem with making any Bold statement, like that of our poster is one of failing to acknowledge the 'learning curve' that the nature of maturing markets like the internet present. Obviously if you consider yourself an 'enduser' at mini-site level then that might seem to be the optimum application of resource.

As an aside - don't register too many of those brandables at .co.uk level - and thats from one that got to learn the expensive way

On here it would probably go for £0-250

I'd have said £xx (maybe to £1xx) on AD or a reseller market.

Probably worth more to an end user if one does ever come along.

This thread is currently at #11 on G for [estyle] when the results are set to "pages from the UK" which probably says a lot about how popular the term is (or not as the case may be).

I think that's a bit like saying estate agents don't know the true value of properties and are at the mercy of housebuyers.......

....sorry, I'm waffling.....or indeed ewaffling !

estyle isn't bad but I think you'd be waiting a long time for a good offer. It's one of those where it's a little lacking without the .com in my view.

But good luck with it :)

Beware of end users with big smiles and small pockets...

But surely when you sell a domain you are usually always selling to the end user?

I don't mean all the people who make low ball offers on your domains; just the people who actually make you an offer that you accept.

Do domainers like being compared to estate agents? It's the 2nd time its cropped up in one of my threads.

I think its a bit of an insult to domainers. We can all put on a cheap suit a show people around a house.

If it's a contrived 'term' then the only person ever likely to want it is going to be a business 'end user' If it's a recognised term then a developer 'end user' is just as likely to be asking.

To try and blanket all web-developments under one business model is only going to help you mis-identify your own possible outlet for your domain.

don't get me wrong i'm certainly not against e????/ m???? type domains, heck i've even got epoint/couk in my portfolio - and I seem to recall somebody requesting a price around 2005 or was that 2006

Why, can't you afford a decent one ? :D

Wow, I'm so pleased the forum gave you this flash of inspiration to spot the potential in this great name.

I can see it now - 'eStyle - Dress To Impress For Less'

You could have a celebrity opening. Perhaps Borat would cut the ribbon. He wears nice suits.

Or maybe these guys....Oh fab, this is such great news..Wow..
