The question that arises in my mind from this thread is, why the F do Nominet not set up an online transfer process the same as .com. What REALLY is preventing this being done and who have they agreed with NOT to do so, maybe Inland Revenue or some other authority ?.

You could perhaps try encouraging the issue.

Fill in your part of the transfer form using e.g. http://www.j2g.co.uk
and emailing it to sedo and asking them to forward it to the other party?

yesterday

--------------------
first input your details.
second press the button at the end of the form to get your details burned into the pdf
third save the pdf to disk using the little save to disk item in acrobat reader (and not the file->save link of your browser)
at all times ignoring the adobes unnecessary warnings.
fourth email to sedo
---------------------

Form updated with new transfer price.

So am I right in thinking you can modify the PDF so that it can be sent to the buyer to then add his part of the transfer and just simply email back to nominet.

That would save loads of time, as I have just sold a co.uk to a guy in india - and yes hes indian which is making it hard to explain to him the process.

Help!!

You can get your details into the pdf and save it and then:
a) print out a copy each time you sell and just add the domain by hand
or

b) add the domain name into the pdf using the online process and then save it, and then send that pdf by email to the buyer.

or option c)
fill in the pdf with your details, and print out lots of hard copies and then just manually fill in domain name each time you sell one. (saves having to bookmark the pdf!)

I think you were referring to option b!

but surley you need to sign each form too :)

Nominet can be very very picky about these things from time to time

And you need letterheads and proofs of identity.

It only effectively saves one side of the postage and postage time.

You email completed form to buyer
they print out and fill in their side and post form, letterhead and cheque to you,
(they also send id? - not sure about that one)
you complete (sign) check it over and send it all with your letterhead and id to Nominet.

This way your buyer doesn't get your full identity details en route to Nominet.
