Why does it take 48hours not to verify a domain when it surely is an automated process?

Is that 48 hours of revenue you don't have to pay me. I can see no reason why this should take longer than 5 minutes.

It is near instant in most cases (5-10 minutes).

The reason I believe it takes longer is some cases is because occasionally the domain is already associated with a different member's account and Sedo then need to verify that you actually own it and delete it from their account.

Yep : i listed another 3 last week and 2 was instant and 1 took a few days because it had previously been put up for sale by another seller.

It's nice to know that they do varify them

Yep - if they have prior knowledge of it, it can take time.
