With nearly 20 years of experience in the domain name and brand protection industry, Stuart brings a wealth of expertise to Com Laude, where he has served as Chief Commercial Officer since April 2023, overseeing global business development, marketing strategy, and preparations for ICANN’s second round dotBrand project in 2026.

Stuart’s career includes senior commercial roles at prominent firms such as NetNames, CSC, CentralNic, and OpSec Security. At NetNames from 2005 to 2016, he played a key role in the first round of the new gTLD programme in 2012, working with global brands to develop dotBrand strategies and use case scenarios. He later served as Group Commercial Director at CentralNic (2017-2019), Head of Brand Services (2020), and Senior Director of Global Commercial Operations at OpSec Security (2021-2023), where he streamlined operations, launched sales training programmes, and created impactful content for brand protection.

At Com Laude, Stuart leads the global sales effort, designs client-facing solutions, and drives marketing campaigns for one of the world’s most respected domain name and brand protection companies. Com Laude, an ICANN-accredited registrar, manages over 150 dotBrand TLDs and serves top-tier clients like Amazon and Chanel, offering global coverage across gTLDs, new gTLDs, and ccTLDs. Renowned for its ISO 27001:2005 and ISO 9001:2010 certifications, Com Laude provides strategic advice, secure infrastructure, and multilingual expertise to safeguard brands and intellectual property.

Stuart’s personal passions enrich his professional journey. A natural explorer with an inquisitive mind, he has travelled extensively, fostering a love for photography and experiencing some of the world’s greatest treasures. Committed to constant self-learning, Stuart fills quiet moments with webinars, podcasts, and audiobooks, seeking transferable skills to add value to himself and others. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served as a registered NHS Voluntary Responder, demonstrating his dedication to community service.

A lifelong football enthusiast, Stuart has channelled his passion into writing as The Football Tourist, authoring three books on football-travel with Ockley Books and a fourth due in 2024. Until late 2023, he was Chair of Lewes Football Club, the world’s first semi-professional club to pay its men’s and women’s teams equally. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Isthmian Football League, representing over 80 teams, and in 2024, became a board advisor for Kent County Cricket, focusing on women’s sports, fan experience, and data commercialisation. Above all, Stuart treasures family, finding joy in precious moments with loved ones.
