Sold a domain via auction back on Sedo back in October, buyer has received all paperwork but has not sent back to Nominet, will not respond to myself or SEDO.

The buyer (based in USA) now has transfer paperwork but is refusing to complete transaction. SEDO have said they will relist the domain for sale.

I'm a little concerned that this guy now has the transfer paperwork, SEDO have already received payment from the buyer surely in these circumstances the money should be released to the seller as I've made best endeavours to complete the transaction.

Anyone else been in this situation, what's to stop the buyer from submitting the transfer paperwork in the future and taking ownership of the domain ?

If you know the name of the buyer (ie. you sent forms to him direct) Dont worry about it. Speak to Nominet and explain that they should only go ahead with the transfer to this person until you give them the green light to do so. Theres no risk of you losing the name. I've been in a similar situation a couple of times and Nominet were helpful enough to avoid any issue.

Simple - Buyers of my domains will know that I never provide ID to them, I always instruct Nominet to contact me directly via email for this item.

Once Nominet email me, I email or fax them and only then do they proceed.

In your case its a little late for this, I would email Nominet and explain the situation and stop using Sedo!
