Hi,

Anyone have an idea the sale value of this domain: dreamwisher.co.uk

I have had an appraisal done by sedo for the .com which was estimated at £1500 and I am trying to get an idea of what to price these domains to sell.

Here is the Sedo valuation Sedo Valuation Actual copy of the original by PM

Thanks :-D

Hello Beeno. I do not understand what a "Dream Wisher" is, other than the obvious being someone who wishes their dreams to come true. Assuming that is the intent, I beieve that someone who "Dreams" and someone who "wishes" are interchangable and redundant when put together.

Unless it was developed, I do not see any potential. If my preception of a "Dream Wisher" is offbase, please explain.

Good luck Beeno.

Anything in the £xxx would be good going for me, anything in £xxxx would be a great sale but I unless you have a buyer lined up or in mind I think it could be a tough sale.

Hey Mr Clean,

Thanks for the reply, kind of what I was expecting. You may be correct in your asumption. I have been ask to sell before, mainly by people who are into horoscopes and film makers and that's why I got it valued. Thing is seeing as the valuation for one domain was high just thought I would see if I could find a happy medium so I new where I was to sell. Becuase I am unsure of value's from sedo, how close they are to the selling value as I am a believer in things being worth what someone will give you for it.

Thanks anyway.:D

I agree with sji2671, if you get a good offer say above £200, I would take it. If you get an offer above £750 take it in an instant. It's not a high paying keyword generic domain, so the best route for this domain is a sale to someone who likes it rather than developing it yourself.

Rgds

Exellent,

Thanks sji2671 and accelerator, I will see what happen's like I said before I have had some offers, many from people who want to start a concept using the name or calling a software product after it as a dreamwisher is the same as a dreamweaver and as I have the main domains (8 in total) I kinda know where I stand so thanks for your help!

:D

Hi Firestars,

Thanks for the appraisal. Feedback's been great and appreciated. Maybe for the domainer market it's not the place for these names. Needs to be put in front of people looking to create something new with a unique concept, product or brand which was remarked on in the Sedo valuation.

Thanks again. :D

Think you could be right, but reading the sedo valuation also makes me think that by the responce you got here, ie nearly worthless those valuations are not worth the paper they are written on.

Well couldnt agree more. Its one thing valuing it but another actually getting the money. When i first got inot domaining i used to get Sedo valuations and they are the pits IMO.

Also, when a name requires imagination and a "unique concept" its a worry.

I dont think the Sedo valuation is that far out (well, not any more) I asked here to see if the valuation and selling price where close, but 'most' guy's here are not into domains that could be a new brand. If you read in the sedo valuation it does say it's potential is in a new brand being created and that's where I have gone with it now. It is though good to have one avenue closed so you can take the next so I thank you all.

1500, no chance!!

there is no way you would get 1500, i'll be surprised if you get anythin over 200, unless some movie or book comes out in that name, then you could be lucky!!

While what has been said in response to this name makes a lot of sense, there is an aspect that has been forgotten. Dream wishing has to do with lucid dreams, that is, the way we can learn to control our dreams (sleeping dreamsrather than day-dreams) so that they result in an improvement in our daily lives.

This is a growing psychological area that has relevance for life-coaching and esoteric ideas, and a site developed along those lines might have a good chance of adding value in time. :)

Hi Allie, I'd have to dispute that - I know a lot about that area and have never heard that term...(but, p.s., I think your time and efforts in these appraisal threads lately are appreciated!)

OP, I think that most people don't spend a huge amount on "ideas" or "brandables" these days, and I'd agree with Scott about the resale values.

Hi, jacal1. I have no doubt that you know a lot more about this area than I do. I am only going on popular articles I have read in the - shall we say - less than academic magazines.

But in the end it's how the ordinary person perceives an idea that matters in search engine terms, isn't it? Presumably the more enlightened will be looking for .edu websites.

This all presupposes a certain amount of development, of course.

PS. Thanks for the nice comment on my contributions. :)

I'll have some of what you are having.
