I have the domain Twonk.co.uk, I have used previously a script that pulled youtube vids about stupid people onto a wp blog however this has been dormant for around 18 months now.

I should do something with it because I like the name but what?

Do you think the domain i worth anything on its own?

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Yes, videos of people doing stupid things is the obvious angle, and I would have thought there was some mileage in that.

This domain could be described as "brandable" and there is a certain amount of Web2.0 ness about it, which definitely gives it some value, but as it's not generic conventional valuation techniques are not applicable, and it's worth whatever you can convince someone to pay.

Thanks for that, the urban dictionary states that the word

Urban Dictionary said:
TWONK:

Derogitary term, roughly equivalent to idiot. More insulting than berk, but less insulting that gimp.

or

A cross between a tw*t, plonker and w*nk*r. Not used as a serious insult, more of a friendly, playful insult.

Its a also a world that I have used since school days (some 25 years ago), so the question is, is it an often used word? If so, obviously that increases its value???

I would say it's not used that often ... search traffic is a key determinant of domain value and I doubt this domain has much natural traffic. You would have to build a brand around the domain, and the traffic would be on the strength of your development efforts rather than the strength of the domain.

The Rule #1

Do not insult any other member. Be polite and do business. Thank you!
