Just glad of the extra time off to do some work on my ever growing things to do, sadly one of my sites will be dead in the water after this weekend "diamond jubilee hats", put it up and pretty much left it with the odd post, more than paid for the reg fee so not all bad.

The BBQ will be back in the shed as it's peeing it down and it's just not the same drinking in the rain, might watch the floatilla instead and daydream about buying a boat.

I'm already bored and 2 more days yet. I've got 2 bored kids so can't do any sites either! Weather is shite. A week ago I was sat in a hot tub in centre parcs!

Indeed, I consider us born in these Isles Very Lucky, just by birth - And I'd love to ship those out that don't know how to appreciate just how fortunate they are.

I thought it was great - razzamatazz has its place but it doesn't work everywhere and for such an historic event (no-one on here will see a monarch reign for so long again) it would be out of place and detract from the meaning of the event.

What I liked best about it was that it remained "traditional" and completely dignified rather than descend into modern-day farce like the Other Big Event of the summer.

Everything relating to the Olympics so far has been a joke (logo, posters, mascots, intro bus in Beijing, ticket sales, Visa "Proud to only take Visa" craziness etc.) so it's far better to stick with the tried-and-tested as this kind of pomp is the one thing we still seem capable of organising well, and it's just NICE.

Waited 1 hour for Madness on Sky news, they came on for the first song and Sky tv were like half a mile away from the stage ( rubbish ) so I turned over to BBC news and they were right next to the action.

Just caught the end of the first song and was gutted but luckily they did a second one which was brilliant

The whole concert and fireworks were great and the crowds, unbelievable. Sorry Admin about my earlier comment but, having travelled much of this globe and seen more more than most would ever want to. I'm now so Proud of our isles and to be British , something I never was when I was younger

Plus I actually think the Yanks will be watching todays highlights and feeling pretty proud of their Cousins across the pond
