Hi I am in need of some help to set up a dedicated server (through WHM) as a name server in oder for my domains hosted on said server to resolve correctly.

This is far too confusing for me to do, just reading the 'howto' on cPanel looses me on the 1st sentence.

If anyone is up for this can you please pm me letting me know how much you would charge?

Thanks,

Fish

I use WHM on a reseller package - I'm not an expert but as far as I know it will be the same for setting up nameservers.

Do you have the server's nameserver IPs? If so I think it's just a case of setting these up with whover your domain is hosted with as glue records.

Not sure about other registrars, but with 123-REG you just enter the nameservers as subdomains of the domain you are editing (e.g. if the domain is fish.co.uk, enter ns1.fish.co.uk etc). It then asks you what the IPs are on the next step and saves them.

If your still stuck give me a shout.
15 min job tops providing nothing is broken.
Have you secured the server? Got a decent backup system set? Might be worth a few quid to protect yourself.

Thanks Jim for your offer.
I should have updated this to say it has been sorted (thanks to monaghan).
Back up in place & csf v5.08 installed.
