company formation agent?

If i read you right then, your answer is that it does provide extra protection to register the limited company of a domain name!
No, that's not what I meant. I register a few companies for domains that are brandable so that I can sell the complete package. I don't do it for protection, just marketing.

Of course, perfect logic in that, it makes a nice complete package of both. But my question still stands really, has registering the ltd company name of a valuable domain name (minus the messy .co.uk reference of course) been found, on balance, to protect the domain name more in the event of a DRS?

Actually Azooza, your replies prompt another question too. I've been led to believe that depending upon which agent you use to register your company, you can end up with a better or worse set of AAs/Memorandum from the point of view of the scope of the business. Has anyone found this, or found the best catagories to state the company will trade in?

At such a cheap price to start a company though, does it not provide any further protection to form one if you have a valued domain that is not already a company?

The other side to this is that if your Limited company doesn't own the domain(s), and instead you do personally, then you are liable legally and financially, not the company.

Limited Company.. limited: meaning limited liability. Obvious I know, but it hadn't been pointed out in this thread. IMO anyone holding any number of domains (let alone any dubious ones) needs a limited company, otherwise you might as well bend over and wait for the vaseline.

I've never confused the idea by having a company own a name, because that clouds the issue about being able to file nil returns. Also, the only names I've done this with are .ltd.uk domains, ergo the company name doesn't require to have an extension in its title.

Groan. I used these this morning, made the payment, filled out everything correctly, submitted, then ...Stop!

Judging by this reply...

"Reason for failure: error in Process Incorporation Requests Error in IMAPISession::OpenMsgStore: 0x8004011D Error: The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down for maintenance. Component: Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store base exception - Error in IMAPISession::OpenMsgStore: 0x8004011D Error: The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchang"

...It's them. I'm not a server guy, but I imagine the error is down to them. No one works at w/e, no answer to calls, nor emails. Bit annoying really!

Need some advice...

Hi, am new to this forum, but have a question that some of you who've posted on this thread might be able to answer.

I've registered a company through www.westone-business.com and this went through fine, problem is because my credit rating is damaged due to late payments the bank account referral came back as declined. The company formation agent said that this is likely due to the fact that HSBC have a high acceptance criteria for their business accounts. Does anyone know if this is true?

Also, they suggested I open an account with Alliance and Leicester for business banking as this is easier to get, is this true? Or can anyone give me the benefit of their experience or suggest an account that is easy to get as I need an account for my business quickly!

Cheers, thanks in advance...
