.co.uk auction on Sedo.com with no Reserve Price!!! Over 500 names on sale

Dhanush, great to see you engaging here, but it's unfortunate that's it's only to market an auction and never when there is an issue.

There are some names there I'd bid on if the .uk issue was resolved. Why haven't you resolved it? It's come up over and over and over again.
Hi bonusmedia,

As mentioned before in this thread, I just started here at Sedo. This is my first real interaction with the acorndomains community. I will be here if there are any issues concerning Sedo that I can help with.

Best Regards,

Dhanush

Hi everyone,

Seller confirmed that buyers have rights to all .uk names in the auction as well.

Regards,

Dhanush
Good stuff, will await seeing it mentioned in the auction itself.

Certainly hope Sedo can resolve this matter going forward, it has only been almost 4 years!

Sedo isn't the only major marketplace to make no provision for indicating .uk status..... to be honest I blame Nominet primarily. Should have just given every .co.uk owner 1 month to claim free 5 year registration for the .uk from day one, and then left everybody to get on with it.

This 'rights' thing is complicated. Its bad enough having to explain the transfer process to a clueless end user without having to try and explain .uk rights to people.

Auction still doesn't state the inclusion. What a waste of time.

The Auction will be ending in 1 day and 7 hours from this post.

Hi Ian,

Besides announcing here, I made the seller update all his domains yesterday. You will find the information (.uk right to register) on each domain in the description field. I hope it is not a "waste of time" for you any more. ;)

Regards,

Dhanush
Good stuff, showing now, needed a hard refresh. Well done for at least clarifying a point past Sedo reps haven't been willing/able to do. Just have to hope Sedo fix this for future sales/auctions.

Thank you Ian. I will definitely push Sedo for this change.

Good job Dhanush, I'll put a couple of bids in.
Thankyou mattyr45. I do hope you get some really good ones. :)

The Seller is moving on from the domain business and hence wants to get rid of his entire portfolio. hence the no reserve price auction.

here is the link once more to the auction: .co.uk auction

Welcome Dhanush and great job on listening to people here and actually getting something done over at Sedo :)
Thank you Dave! Am very happy to be here on acorndomains. It has been a good start for me at Sedo. Am also learning as I go on. Thank you everyone for your feedback and support. :)
Am here to help and learn.

Dhanush, is there ever public Sedo .co.uk auctions that we could put our own domains forward? Perhaps you could schedule one for a few weeks time?
I will find out about this one mattyr45 and let you know. That is a good idea! We do have the "Great Domains Auction" once a month, but that is for all tlds and they accept only very very limited domains for that one.

A dedicated .co.uk public auction does sound interesting.

Will get back to you on this one.

Dhanush

Nice to see you listening to people's problems. Unfortunately sedo still charges a ridiculous high fee for co.uk domains - you think you could get them to think about lowering it considering the low price normally of co.uk domains? Not much point selling a domain for 60 gbp if sedo are taking 50 of it.

I will look into this Rob. Thanks for the feedback.

Missed the end - anyone know what 'employment' went for in the end - or any others?
