The buyer of Jarrow.co.uk has paid Sedo and uses 1&1 as his registrar.

Three failed transfers so far, because 1&1 have not accepted the handshake.

FFS how can they be so incompetent ? !

Mojoco, have you made any attempts down the years to contact potential end users directly for any of these? Cold calls / emails for example.

Has the buyer initiated the transfer in from his 1&1 account? If you don't do that first it will generally fail as they're not expecting it coming in. I've noticed a few registrars doing things this way recently.

Thanks Grant. On the first attempt the buyer had not initiated the transfer into 1&1 which explains why it failed.

It had been initiated before the second / third attempt though, plus 1&1 have updated the registrant address but not the registrant details.

Weird. If it's a Nominet transfer, that should be impossible! Perhaps talk to Nominet customer support?

As Edwin says, sounds like somethings gone wrong there. I always cringe when a buyer says they're moving the domain to 1&1, they're an absolute nightmare!

Good luck with it!
