Hi folks, I'm new to this game so just wondering what value to put on the above?

"cheap flights hotels" only gets 91 local monthly searches and competition is high in the travel and leisure fields.

But i've noted the broad figures seem high (12,100) and "cheap flights and hotels" gets 1000 local exacts. What difference does the "and" make? Isn't the domain cheapflightshotels.co.uk better without it? Or have I cocked up?

Also I've noted cheapflightshotels.com selling for $2,388.00. How relevant is that to pricing my co.uk version?

thanks in advance for any advice

robbie

Ignore broad search results.
Not worth keeping, IMHO, most folk would either look for 'cheap flights' and 'cheap hotels' separately, or would look for 'cheap holidays'.
Can't imagine why anyone would pay $2338 for the dot com

thanks for your comments Eddie, anybody else agree with Eddie? (not doubting Eddie here, just looking for further confirmation) :D

Hi Robbie

Unfortunately i dont think there is any value in the domain name, as eddie said ignore the broad results.

I also cant understand why anyone would spend that much on the .com

Ah well, cheers Suggys, at least now I know a little more about domaining and the folly of buying long string names in competitive fields :(
