The DAC is for checking the status and potential availability of a domain name. What SF wants, for whatever reason that has yet to become fully apparent, is someone to build him an easy interface to the automaton. I imagine he'd like to be able to easily paste a list of domain names into a box on a web page, to then choose a pre-populated registrant profile from a drop down and to then click on a button and for the list to be registered. The Nominet web domain manager likely requires too many clicks and uses individual fields per domain name.

The automaton list and bulk list commands will probably allow him to easily keep a locally hosted spreadsheet or database up to date by having the contents of his tag emailed to him. I assume he sorts and generally organises his domain name portfolio locally.

Nothing he wants is going to help you beat Deny's

That its 99% of what i want yes... but only to admin the names that ive already got, not catching wise.. its all about my own personal tailored system to my needs to save time, once you know how i want it to operate it would be very good and very handy

OK, the list request you can set at intervals say every hour, this sends a list request - list request comes back and all domains and info are nicely sorted when you login, then you can simply coose by reg date, its all done automicatally, could even set it where by when you log in you can see a short list of most expiring names, nominets web manager is very limited having your own system that you could build on is far better

invincible is right on the money here, there are other features that i want but i would rather not say but to the coder, and its something ive always wanted -

It doesnt have to be every hour but i could be registering 20x names a day throughout the day and would like to keep a live tally when i log into my personal system, dont worry there is method to the madness and i would rather not explain in details about how i want it all to be, but if by being in this game 12 years i dont know what i need to make life easier for me then i dont know what..

I think this is half a problem these days people just dont provide you with the service you ask for, why cant they just get on and do as they are told without thinking about it, sorry to be harsh but i am not paying you to think how you would use it or why i need it i just need someone to get on and do what i say.. dont understand they would be getting paid for it, crazy...

Well I'm not sure I'm going to be able to enjoy my evening out later on if you don't at least email me and explain it. I'll be interested to know whether whatever it is will really do something so unique or if there'd another solution.

lol, its really one main system for all my needs having looked and used many tag admins in the past its really all the best ideas ive seen thrown into one killer system, and it will do something no other catcher i hope is doing..

Christ, just use the automaton with pgp. Couple of hours to learn it then everything is done by just sending an email.

Have you set up that self-managed TAG yet? It's been weeks now.

It's not difficult but still a PITA if one is out and about so nice to have a mobile friendly, bandwidth light interface for it.

Yeah thanks Chris as long as he's looking after the old boys a?. Quite a few people have been affected by the poor service of caught.

I dont book names with chris or caught i use a tag admin sortware to control my names and when it went down i was stuck without being able to manage my names.
