You can do all that direct with nominet in web domain manger

Web Domain Manager should def be in your Nominet control panel if you're a registrar.. :S

If you have a TAG you can do all the things you listed above.

I used to use the DAC Panel via caught and was initially lost without it, but as per posts above you can do everything via Nominet Online Services:

Just a very simple tag admin system so i can log in online say mydomain.co.uk and enter user name and password and i am in...

from there i would like to be able to

RENEW
LIST-REQUEST
SET NAMESERVERS
SEND NEW DOMAIN REQUEST
MODIFY
ETC..


Dropcatcher.co.uk had this system years ago you should of seen it it was incredible he could do all those things by the click of a button

ive always wanted to my own tag admin to do just that but ive never found anyone clever enough to build it for me, the guy who built dropcatchers was a genuis he said ..

But what about list request, and request new domain?, there is some other tricks i want adding dont forget i had a sneak peak at the famous system and i would like that replicating, can anyone help ?

I'm not sure what list request is can you give a bit more detail

By request new domain (Do you mean register something in your name)

An admin panel shouldn't be to hard to knock up just never seen the need there's nothing I've had to do so far that I cant just do direct with Nominet

Having my own system like this has many advantages if someone could build what i ask they will see just what they are missing

Forgive me if i say stupid things but I'm not an expert when it comes to the right terminology

Isn't that done with the dac?

On dropsystem have your control panel and you enter how may years you want etc, you put in the domain, if the domain is FTR it would be registered straight away.

All the same isn't it? if what you want to do is

go to request new domain - enter domain, - use drop down to how many years 1-10 and click send, done!

I imagine he'd like to be able to easily paste a list of domain names into a box on a web page, to then choose a pre-populated registrant profile from a drop down and to then click on a button and for the list to be registered.

Yeah but you can do that very easily with a catching script with a control panel? just call it a "registering script" instead, same difference

You use the online control panel, set the years, enter the list of domains, click start, the dac checks if they are FTR and when it says they are it sends a create command, you have them all registered.

The automaton list and bulk list commands will probably allow him to easily keep a locally hosted spreadsheet or database up to date by having the contents of his tag emailed to him. I assume he sorts and generally organises his domain name portfolio locally.

You can download these lists easily in web domain manger as well

So the only thing this interface would have over nominets system is register multiple domains from a list. Even then is it much of a big deal to click the add more domains button when on the create page.

Failing that just paste the list into the DAC script.

I honestly don't know why you need it but if no one else has something to hand to sell you I can probably code you a system middle of next week.

really though just have a play round in web domain manger for half an hour or so it does everything you need
