Catching Script...

People like you will give me reason (once i have proved it's successful) i will release all the info on here apart from the actual code,share and share alike...

If you're going to do that why not just post your times in the first place. If you'd done that you *may* have got a straight answer from someone. Out of interest, if you emerge as a top catcher will you be giving away your server location?

As you said in your post before you edited it - competition is good - and it is, but you can't expect your potential competitors to give out information that will create direct competition for them!!

Kudos to you for writing your own script and not taking the easy route but you need to put the same level of commitment into the next stage rather than expecting it to be given to you - this appears to be an issue for you for some reason!! Everyone else has put the work in themselves, why should you be any different!

Oh and another reason why you might spend years tweaking your script you ever thought it's maybe because it's shit in the first place ?

That's quite an amusing comment coming from someone who hasn't caught a domain yet!! I've never claimed to be a top catcher as I'm not, but I do OK. Some of my catches from the last month:

Urban, you asked a fair question to be honest, I don't think being given a range that would constituent 'good' speed is going to give you any advantage over the competition. Its achieving that speed that is the issue (hell someone might even say that a REALLY tiny speed is bad so you spend all your time tweaking to get there and give up!)

However, I think you have handled the response in a terrible way. Life is about give and take, don't expect something for nothing - on the other hand, members of this forum have been extremely open in the past. I asked about drop catching info a while back - this was entirely for my curiosity and I received a lot of information from a range of members. Whilst the information was interesting - I am still not a drop catcher today.

Grant responded to your request in a polite way, indicating that people are more likely to say 'yes' or 'no' than provide you with their times.

You then got rude to someone who was trying to help you resolve your query, this is a very bad attitude and you should have been thanking him, not referring to him as 'stupid'

You asked for his help when you asked for timings, he tried to help you get an answer and you just called him stupid.

You're the one that caused so much shit by 'getting so worked up', Grant is respected and insulting him and others made you look like a fool.

I think we can both see that you won't get any answers here and you are just digging yourself in deeper, I think walking away and leaving the forum would be the best solution here...

Alternatively, continue to have a go at respected members of the forum until you end up banned.
