Not that valuable because carbon steel suppliers don't really need a good domain name as it's very niche and they can just use their own brand name. Few AdWords ads appear on the term which is always a bad sign.

Hmm, intersting. Very difficult for me to put a value on it as its not a niche that I know anything about. There is search volume there though (12k) and it's .com. XXXX value for sure but I can't be any more specific than that without researching the market.

How many manufactures are there globally simply contact top 5 in each country should take long see if you get a responce if you don't then chances are they don't see the need for it you going to struggle to sell it names can be good have search volume be genric and you still can't flog them ?

Actually estibot has quite good algo to estimate the price, because
valuation is based on many parameters like: similar domain sales from the past, type in traffic, cpc, domain age, backlinks, length, google page rank and many, many more. Like any automated valuation tool it can only calculate acording algorithm and rules specified, so you can't relate much on the output price, but anyway it's the best automatic valuation tool.

There are still SEO benefits to EMD though so having the domain could help rank and drive clients. They wouldn't have to use it as their main site.

So-and-so is very good at appraising real estate, ... so you CAN'T rely on his property valuations.

What's-his-name is very good at predicting stock prices ... so you CAN'T rely on his numbers.

If your offers for this domain are relatively frequent and come form multiple parties, record their contact information. Let them know that you will be auctioning off this domain name relatively soon. Once you have collected offers from several people in such a way that you can reach out to them, start the auction at a venue that allows a time frame longer than 7 days.

You may sell for $x,xxx. But I wouldn't be surprised by low $xx,xxx.
