Hello Acorners,

I'm wondering if you could help out by giving me your opinions on the value blogs.co.uk (including .uk) please.

Your help is much appreciated!

Many Thanks

I would say this domain is likely to have passed its peak value. A few years ago and it would have been far more likely to achieve a significant sale price.

Rgds

I would say anywhere from £400 to £2k, possibly more if someone comes to you directly who is really interested in buying it off you. I can't think of many uses for it though, apart from a either a blog software provider or directory of blogs.

Blogging is still huge but you need to sell asap for max value. Would not let this go for less than 4 figures and would be satisfied with mid x,xxx ( for both .co.uk and .uk)

Good luck with the name.

Would be difficult o get a blogging business off the ground now as there are so many avenues for expression online. In terms of value, it's still got to be a decent four figure domain though still surely..

Hello,

It is A top domain name don not but it in forums, price from $25,000 to $33,000

If i were you would put it on flippa ultra premium, you may get some offers but got to invest.

Hmmm I think its got a very fluid value. I'd say no less than four figures. Best of luck :)

It's one of those names that's almost too generic.

A blog directory would be an almost impossible task with hundreds or even thousands popping up and disappearing every day, and the amount of time it would take wouldn't be worth it.

IMO It would almost definitely have to be sold to a new blog platform to get a premium price, but I doubt there are many that are prepared to take on Wordpress, Blogger...etc.

To the perfect end user I would say high x,xxx

Or if you can find someone called Joe Blogs;)

Agreed, too generic. Although if you put serious cash in could be a massive blogspot type website. Nothing better than free user generated content!

If I was offered £500 for it I'd take it, as I think you could wait years on this 'perfect end user' and he's never going to arrive.

I don't think its viable to setup a business to compete with Wordpress today. Even if someone did try and set up to compete, they likely wouldn't want to restrict themselves to UK only either would they.

Google has killed off the 'directories' business model. Perhaps several years ago you could have built up some page rank and sold listings to blogs for £50. Thats a no go now.

What else can you actually do with it ?

Could be a site specializing in selling quality blog themes or an affiliate site with good content offering advice and reviews on how/where to get blogging?. I wouldn't be surpised if i saw this selling for very low x,xxx. I'm not an expert of course just a rough opinion.
