Bitcoins?

Fun but waiting for the >>POP<< any second, if that happens the fun turns to tears

True. But to be honest I only invested money that I can afford to lose just to be a bit safe. Starting to think that I shouldn't have done that, but that's life.

Looks like $223 is the price now, but by the time I write this post it'll probably be even more.

That may well be, but I think the Euro is just as likely to go pop.

I can understand those who are transferring their wealth into gold, silver and bitcoin rather than keep it in paper.

Sure, bitcoin could crash, gold and silver could be stolen but printing billions of paper currency can also result in hyperinflation.

Mining BTC with a CPU is pointless will use more electricity than gain in BTC value.

Could setup a rig with 4 GPU for around £1,000, looking at possibly doing two.

Would be able to do around 19 LTC a day at the current difficulty.

just looking at results of others in the pool, the top miner is running 735,247 mhps, today have earned 0.00043846 btc. lol

$263 a bitcoin, was at $30 at the end of february.

I wonder when the blow off top will occur....$300, $500, $1000. Max Keiser reckons they will hit a million dollars a bitcoin.

I have no affiliation with them and haven't used them.

I hear some would rather use a private dealer or ebay where you can use paypal.

But the markup is often much more.

That won't matter though if bitcoin fever propels the price to 4 or 5 figures.

This place seems to handle most of the world's bitcoin trade.

I wouldn't use those. There are 15,000+ waiting in line to get their account approved. And by the time you get approved the price could very well be doubled for all we know.

They might be the biggest exchange, but that doesn't really mean that they are the best. I used Bitcoin 24 and had no issues - although don't blame me if anything goes wrong with them if you use them:oops:

So I place an order for how many bitcoins I want at the price I want to bid? How does it work on BC24?

Admin

Yeah that's it.

You might be waiting a while though unless you offer a good price, but that's why I used "buy instantly". You end up paying a tiny bit more but it's well worth it in my opinion.

By the way, you need to be careful with exchanges because if they get hacked or whatever your money / bitcoins could be gone.

Not looking good

Someone is trying to make the price go down so that they can buy loads cheap.

Look here - http://bitcoinity.org/markets and see all the tiny orders (of 0.02 usually).

Should be interesting to see if it goes back up to what it was earlier today / close to it.

Edit - Should've mentioned, all these tiny transactions are causing a massive lag over at Mt. Gox (which you can see on the site above) which makes people panic a bit.

Keep an eye over at btc-e.com updates quickly, seems like Litecoins are the way to go now ;)
