Big days approaching

I was going to say the same as Rob, holiday will probably be conveniently renewed by GoDaddy in the days before. Rob, any idea from historical data if this domain has a history of being renewed on the hours leading up to the drop date? Not usually a tactic of a general registrar, but you never know!

Nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes people have forgotten until drop day - sometimes too late. It's still not allowed for anyone except the registrant to renew. However if anyone was going to abuse it and test nominet's limit it would be 123reg and godaddy. They are the pits of registrars in my opinion. If uks can be registered without the client's consent only a matter of time before this rule is abused/broken as well. A quick 'renewal email' with terms and conditions slightly altered and Bob's your aunty's live in lover.

Trying to work out the ownership chain after Travelzest collapsed, and then On Holiday Group collapsed, and then Magic Rooms was bought out by Logitravel and then... What?

Or is it just TUI? I give up.

Presumably flight.co.uk is the same deal?

Chris Mottershead's (Thomas Cook) name is cropping up a lot.

Looks like someone will pick this up today.

I'm interested in buying it if you do.

The prospect of getting it is quite exciting.... even though the chances are very slim.

A bit like the national lottery

Probably fancy my chances at the lottery more to be honest. Pretty sure everyone and their dog has it loaded today. Pre bids on all the auction catchers are into xxxxx

Even against blatant cheating and all the other variables, any effort to catch to catch this domain is far more likely to succeed, than a lottery ticket. Just goes to show perceptions can be a long way from reality.

Looks like a big payday for the chosen one. Although there is a credible report on Acorn of a catcher turning down an offer off £228k for a lesser domain, that is confidence for you.

On the subject of valuable domains, I sold one last week to a buyer from loan co.uk, in Moncao. That must be in the top ten best names.

Anyone know how many tags there are in total ? Guess that would be max odds. Not taking into account any weighting / advantages obviously

Well done chaps!

However, unless your circumstances or some prior agreement means you must sell quickly, I would say resist early offers. These domains are not going to lose value, and a long window for negotiation and sales is likely to give you a significantly better return
