best place to sell domains/flip ??????

The .co , is all up in the air at the moment and from what we have been reading from all domain news sites; its a 50/50 in terms of selling them. Some dot co's have gone for crazy high prices especially one worded domains or keywords etc. On the other hand still a lot of people hate them or yet don't value them.

dot co for us, is the new extension for buyers who lost out on the chance to buy a dot com, as well as companies are buying up the .co version in order to keep it in the family. It is also short catchy extension for a domain that carries either the Columbia or company/commerce/coop meaning applied so in short: think it might be an extension that could take a while to kick off, selling wise even though high sales are underway, and a majority of internet users type in a name but forget the 'm'.

Thanks. That's a great reply - not that I agree, but thanks for taking the time!

Did you buy any .mobi names, or did they come out before you were aware of domaining?

Just because there have been a few sales doesn't mean .co is really popular outside Colombia (not Columbia). More sales are taking place in established TLDs.
Just look around you, what extensions do businesses use.
No offense, but your first worry should be building quality inventory, not finding the proper venue for domains nobody needs (that question has been answered).

as an average domainer (I make a small profit) I have had lots of success selling on here and affiliates4u, and flippa for .coms.

also - sites are way easier to sell than domains, especially if they make money.

you would do well to take advice off the people who have posted here, its spot on.

I feel sorry for this guy, he/she comes on here to ask a primary question:
Where can they sell domains and it turns into a bitchfest.

Its does not matter whether anyone thinks his domains are crap but as usual some people are all too ready to pontificate and force their oh so superior knowledge on an audience who quite frankly are bored hearing it.

Some from people I have no time for and others I respect and at least one totally unnecessary, rude and should apologise. Typical lets give the newbie a hard time, disgraceful.

I'm surprised at you guys - just give the him/her a list of sites where they can do more research.

Afternic -Sedo - Ebay (good luck) - Flippa - Moniker - Greatdomains - Pool - Domainlore....

FORUMS: Acorn - ******* - Digitpoint - Namepros.....

FEEL FREE TO ADD to the list, it might actually help someone and we'll be seen to be fair on this forum.

BTW: I might list a few and you can have a go at me later lol

Well said jimmc, since 2008 I have seen many newbies get slaughtered/shamed/put-down by the cliquey established Acorn members - its only by lurking and keeping my head down for 4 years I managed not to get involved in such and learn, shame really.
Sorry for going off topic :)

Old guard - feel free to slaughter my comments - but that's the way I see it here
Thx

Where's the 'Bitchfest' Apart from one comment which is a bit OT, the rest of the comments appear to treat the original poster like a 'domainer' The same sort of banter that I'd expect would be posted on any Thread.

This Guy has already stated his gone out and brought 70 plus domains in a very short time based (Imo) on flawed judgement, would you rather that we encouraged him to continue on that path, or choose to totally ignore him. (I take it you've both taken the time to read all 25+ posts already made by this new member)

Not necessarily on this thread, but certainly on Acorn generally, im not going to mention any usernames, but I have always found your comments useful, helpful and polite Bailey - there are many good folk on here, just there are a few who are quick to put down newbies, new CCTLD's & ext's, designs, business discussions and ideas etc.

Mild Rant over - ;) & going off topic

;) Fair enough fresh79 and thanks for the nice compliment, I'm fortunate to work from home so have the luxury and time of being able to read just about every post made at Acorn. And it did seem wrong to hit certain members who in this instance really are trying to be "Cruel to be kind"
Out of context I can see that the comments apppear to be just cruel - which I don't think they are intended to be in this instance

I think also, that some new members are not prepared to hear the truth (cruel or kind) and are quick to retaliate with shots back at established members, which off course opens the door to a grand bitchfest and lights up all the red rep icons!

Thank you "jimmc and Fresh".

I see that a few forums has a regular set of members which is cool, but these types of forums then become a 'domian'ers mafia' site which I presume will only result in driving away new and future members.

To date now own 97 domains which some on here will say are poop, have listed them on Sedo and getting the views in from different countries. I think to date the most funny domain we bought is: "satibati.com" for the reason being sitting here making up rhyming names to search for on godaddy, did a quick search on Google, 'satibati' came up as a place in India, couldn't stop laughing because initially was just words made up

Thank you for naming places to post domains, *******, and a warrior site, namepros are supposed to be good sites from what I was reading but are paid sites, so still thinking about that joining them.

Checked out Bido and flippa but from reviews are not looking good. So a little weary on them. So it looks like Sedo is the best so far.

In future I will stick to just posting what we own, rather than asking questions, I think that is the best strategy with forums.

Have a good day all. ;)

A question is it permitted to post the link to Sedo portfolio as wanted to answer' Rob' for the dot mobi's bought so instead of typing them all was going to show ?

Any poor soul new to domains and reading this thread is gonna be thinking "I'm not so sure about domains anymore" and less so about joining-in with this bunch of Nutcases.
