poker.com assuming I'd built it out before all the other companies in the industry.

it'd be my own surname in .com (which I do own). I like being one of the small number of people who belong to that club

I owned both .com and .co.uk of my name and thought it would never amount to much so I let them go in about 2003.

Hey! If you always made correct decisions life would be boring. But yes I regret letting them go.

Nice one Invincible.

The money game now is making a sucessful app !
Yes if you can make an App and have the skills. But there is still plenty available on the open web. Especially now google has killed the notion that you needed a ton of links to get anywhere.

Just out of interest what was the surname?

I imagine a surname like smith or jones to sell for quite a bit of cash but how do the first names do? something like dave.co.uk/com everyone knows a dave! :D

Well all the old hands know that I build affilliate sites so :

tonycooper.com
tonycooper.co.uk

Let them both go.

In a way I'm disappointed as you would be but building something that isn't blah blah blah.

Should never have let them go.

Live and learn.

I'm sure there are people who have let far more valuable domains slip through their fingers. Now that would be a good thread!

I didn't exist back then (I'm 21), so can't really say. If I had thought to register domains when I was a lot younger, it would be something like cartoons.com or similar.

a single character
a.com or 1.com

they were regged then dropped, before rules were then changed
a few exist today like x.com owned by ebay

imagine the traffic w.com would get, for life
