I think that as the 'make-money-from-home' phenomenon grows rapidly facilitated by the internet this domain is rather excellent. I think you could get £25000 from a serious investor with a long term business goal... nice one!

Thanks Lex... I reckon that's about the right amount, too.

Thanks

Fabulous name:

I'd be a little more conservative, say £15k-£20k; towards the upper end if it's a well established business site, aka 'a going concern.'

Good luck.

I think people should start valuing domain names based on their potential as a business revenue stream! This will lead to an interest in the market and values rising and therefore more serious purchases made by the general public.

I think that people realise that the domain name isn't that important.
Totally generic words are not that valuable. They look good at a first glance, but their value is really limited to a company in that field wanting to look good, by owning the generic term.

Example: 'Blogs Web Affiliates' would want their full name as a domain and probably bwa.co.uk. affiliate.co.uk might be attractive, but it doesn't promote their company.

I'd value it at about £2000.

I'd have to agree with FC

Seeing a few reported sales on Sedo and other places it may appear that the higher values are the norm. In reality, sales are fairly few and most are for small amounts.

There is a great deal of wishful thinking when it comes to setting domain values. If a name is worth thousands, then all you need to do is wait for the offers to roll in and decide when to sell. If you've had a name for a couple of years with no serious interest then it probably is not worth a great deal, assuming that a potential buyer would know that it is for sale and can easily contact the registrant.

I agree with FC on this one.
