Firstly apologies for arriving as a newbie on the boards and requesting numerous valuations - I'll stop it I promise !

So what do you reckon to mothered.co.uk ? I prefer to think of it as mother with an extra D rather than the Ronnie Corbett 'Sorry' kind of Mothered. The dictionary says to give birth, nourish and protect, so I'm sticking with that !

I'll probably try and set up a site promoting maternity and baby products, but I'm just curious. Is it a true generic with any value ??

Ok I'll stop with the 'antiques roadshow' questions - it must get irritating !

Fine for the type of aff site you mention, but whatever value it has is determined by its "brandability" and is not a high value generic term, again, because it does not relate directly to a high value internet product or service.

Unless I found someone interested in the brandability, I would let it go for offers above £80, but I wouldn't expect a rush of offers.

Wished I'd invested in domain names rather than dot gones back in '99 ! Wonder if I should be thinking the same now about .org.uks.

I've got babyclothes.me.uk but I don't suppose that counts for so much. They're highly searchable terms but I'd guess the suffix spoils thinks,

Keyphrase .org.uk are well worth acquiring, and personally I buy good keyphrase .me.uk as well, although some scoff at this extension, if it's a good keyphrase, I still buy it.

I would say babyclothes.me.uk is the best of your domains so far. There is some value here as it's so appropriate for an affiliate site.

Yes I'm quite optimistic for babyclothes.me.uk. The adwords tool is showing 210,000 exact matches on baby clothes so I'm going to put up a nice clean design, keep it updated and see what happens.

Although I'm new to this I can see the logic in pursuing .org.uk's for and me.uk's for affiliate sites for their keyword relevance, and I should imagine they'll become scarcer in time.

Would you rate cheappremiums.co.uk by the way or are the keywords a bit vague ? I won't ask again, I'm just curious.

I doubt that people search much on the term "cheap premiums" and therefore the term does not appeal to an affiliate web developer and doesn't have much intrinsic value.
